For a brief and fleeting moment
And it was all clear
It all came pouring in
And I felt it
I felt the joy the clouds kept
Hidden in their depths
Then it was gone
It all left and the clouds,
They took back the sky
THe glimmering sunlight was darkened
And everything went black
But oh I remember
My moment in the sun
I paid for my time in light
Everything has a price
My time paved in gold
THe radiance I felt
The only time I was known
Took a toll on me
Everything else just seemed
Cold and dark compared to
My moment in the sun
